A pomegranate juice drink has been introduced to the UK for the first time and is being directly targeted at the pub and bar market.
Pomegreat has picked up fans in the trade already, with Simon Nicolian, licensee of 22 Below bar in London producing a series of pomegranate cocktails.
Marian Slater claims that her bar, Claytons Lounge in Marlow, is the first in the country to serve the Pomegranitini – a mix of Pomegreat, blackcurrant vodka, bramble flavour, cointreau and lime.
The juice is being distributed by RJA Foods, which is very keen to develop a successful on-trade side to the business as well as targeting supermarkets and off-licences.
